Pride

What about pride?

I feel like the word pride/proud has such negative connotations in society. Just the mention of it brings images of boasting and obnoxious self flattery. Why? Why not take it for the real meaning. Pride; to be proud about something.

Pride is powerful. Many things happen because of pride I believe. But where is the pride when we look in the mirror? Is it there?
Where is the pride in your life?
Is it in your car?
Your clothes?
Your job?
Your significant other?
Your jewelry?
Your house?
You degrees?
Are those things you?
Sure those are things that you have, and possessions may very well be a part of you and say something about you. But possessions are not who you are. They are not what you. You are who you are and that is it.

When you look in the mirror, that is you and only you. That person looking back at you defines you, it defines you because it is you. So where is the pride? If it is in your possessions and not in the mirror and not in yourself... Then what are you doing with your life?

Find your pride. If it is not where it should be then fix it. Start now. Get your pride back. Only you can do it.
